The quotes were really good and I like how they made it more personal and towards us. The Domino Theory is a really good idea too and it was nicely rehearsed. It seemed like they were really nervous so maybe relax a little more on the next presentation. You guys had really good research and facts to back up your points too.
Cute Comic! I like all of the quotes behind them as they speak. The equation is like a left brained version of being happy. The words could have been a little more practiced but its till got the point across. Over all I do like the presentation.
I really like your topic. It was a creative idea because you did not chose an aptitude from the book, but instead researched something we indirectly discussed in nearly every fishbowl. However, I would have liked more audience involvement.
I'm not sure I understand what the thesis, theme, and main point of the presentation was. I liked the equation, but maybe connect all the points more thoroughly, for it was slightly confusing to me.
I really enjoyed your guy's topic. It was super interesting. I enjoyed the Domino metaphor, it really flowed well with the subject of happiness and was different than anyone else's presentation. You guys seemed like you knew your scripts really well, but you came off as really really really being nervous.
I like their idea about the domino, how one thing or person can start a movement carried on through others. Just like falling dominos we often follow the person that takes the first step, for example fads and fashions. When one person starts a fad or fashion others follow them and this creates an entire movement generated by one person, just like trends I believe that it only takes one individual to create a worldly movement.
This is Kate, my internet is down. I liked how they backed up everything they said with a quote or evidence, but the long quotes on the screen were a bit distracting.
I thought you guys had a good presentation but you seemed to fiddle with the paper a lot. There were a lot of quotes to back up your research which was good, and I liked the domino theory.
This is Kate, my internet is down. Although video games are a big part of play, I feel like they could have focused on other aspects of play. The video about post-traumatic stress was really great! At first I wasn't interested, the presentation grew and got really good!
The happiness equation was a really cool way of breaking the presentation down in a new way.
ReplyDeleteThey have a lot of quotes to support their points.
ReplyDeleteThey seem a little nervous, like they haven't practiced much. I like the quote they have, particularly the equation.
ReplyDeleteThe equation of happiness was a really good example. Lots of good quotes.

ReplyDeleteI also like the equations, but just wondering how would you "measure your outlook on life" like what was said in the equation?
ReplyDeleteThe Bhutan example is a good example I think, showing how one country is caring so much about happiness

ReplyDeleteI like how they tied all back to the dominoes.
ReplyDeleteI like the quotes that they used. I think that it really helped to back up and support the point of their presentation.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed hearing the story about the country whose primary concern is "gross national happiness"; great quotes as well.
ReplyDeleteGood information and interesting facts. A little quite and timide. Hard to believe in what you are saying when it seems like you dont believe in it.
ReplyDeleteGood use of qoutes to support their ideas
